I've long heard of the Torchys brand and was so happy to go by and try whilst we were down here in Texas and loved it. This particular store said they had just re-opened like 3 hrs before we got there so there were some hiccups expected but in the end, we got everything we wanted and more.

The salmon was cooked really well, but the sauce for it was a bit slimy which felt off-putting. Sadly, the sushi rolls that came with the bento box wasn't of the best quality, as the was a lot of rice and not much filling.

Besides that, everything else was pretty standard for the bento and the miso soup. The Wasabi Tako was pretty good, there was a fair amount for the price and a really strong Wasabi flavor. My friends got assorted sushi which I definitely felt like I should have got over the salmon bento. I also hear that this place always has a long lineup, we were lucky there wasn't one at the time we went, but it was forming as we left.

The restaurant is also open on Monday through Thursday until 3 am, and on Friday and Saturday until 12 am.

A friend suggested this Mexican-Cuban taqueria and I couldn't have been more pleased with it! I went with one typical pastor, which was definitely a good quality, and then two of the Cuban tacos which were simply delicious with the beef, beans, and a nice twist of sweet plantains on top!

OK down to earth place for Cuban and Mexican favorites. The Café Cubano y el Cortadito tasted weird on this visit. Not bad, just different. May be the type of coffee they used. The ropa vieja was good and so were the fried pork chunks and the rotisserie chicken.

Black beans were OK. Big serving of fried plantains with each plate and that's really good. Stopped by here on my way out of Houston after a concert. The breakfast burrito I grabbed was delicious, but for some reason they cut a to-go burrito in half.
