Overall good tacos. The shrimp tacos were superior they give you many shrimp and you can basically customize it how ever you like. The chicken taco - trailer park trash was not my favorite.

Drinks were very good and the staff moved quickly to get people their food which I appreciate. It was easy to find seating and they had very good margaritas. In Austin for work and someone recommended Torchys. We enjoyed the food and had fun. The tacos were fun, we loved the nookie for dessert, and the queso was way different that I've had.

Almost the texture of hummus? Very fun! Popped in for a quick drink and snack. The bartender was warm and welcoming. We got some margaritas and they recommended the queso. The drinks were delicious and the queso definitely impressed. Just the perfect amount of heat and super cheesy.

Definitely freshly made. Have to come back to try the tacos. I mean WOW! These tacos are fun and creative. They have some really good sauces that spice them up.

The Trailer Park Taco, was amazing! And the bartenders were fun and lively which really helped make for a good environment! The fanciest Torchy's in town. It has a great ambiance.

The service was a bit slow given the single bartender had to serve so many people at a time. Other than that, it's a great place to check out.

September I only went in here to take a break fro the heat and sit at the bar. This place is a bit fancier than the Torchy's Tacos in my neighborhood but still the same menu. I ordered a Sucker Punch where did not want to order a frozen margarita where coming from the heat outside did not want to experience another massive brain freeze.

The bartender was great and made me feel at home. My drink was very refreshing and tasted excellent. I noticed the restrooms needed a code to enter where I just returned to my hotel which was nearby.

Stunning Chile queso dip. I read all the reviews and heard all the hype. But nothing prepared me for this rich gooey deliciousness. It was honestly inspiring. The tacos were fine. Not mind-blowing, but quite good.

My goodness, so yummy. Oh and that Paloma with the Tajin on the rim? Cute atmosphere, especially by the bar. Incredibly friendly service too. Slide 1 of 4. Doner kebab restaurant.

Falafel restaurant. Show 4 more. Kebabalicious is a popular food truck and storefront in Austin, Texas that offers Turkish-inspired cuisine at very inexpensive prices.

The food is great for people who want something different than the typical Americanized fare, and the outdoor music is a bonus. How have I lived on the east side for 2 years and been overlooking this place.

Started with the fries and was surprised at how they managed to stay crispy even while smothered with that meat, sauce, and cheese. Super good. Not soggy. King wrap was a hit as well. We ordered king size falafel wrap, K-fries, hummus and pita, falafel basket.

Everything was so good. Falafel was so crispy and tasty. This place is super tasty, but WOW the regular size is too small. Be sure to order the "King" size if you're looking for a filling entree.

The price point is rock-solid and the ambience of the outdoor eating area is quite nice. Veryy tasty wraps! Great service. We ordered falafel wraps with their one of the spiciest sauce and it was bomb! Even the loaded french fries comes with a good portion size and was yum. The lady taking our orders was really friendly and good.

Food: Ordered a falafel basket with 4 different sauces. The falafel was crispy from the outside and soft on the inside. The sauces had a wide range of flavours and they were really good too!

Drinks: Ordered a can of Pearl-Snap. They have a decent menu of beers to choose from. Location: Very nice! Service: You get a number and they deliver the food to your table.

Fairly quick service. Awesome kebab and wrap place with some fun and inventive dishes. The Boss Fries are massive and so, so tasty! Definitely good for two people or one near-starved human.

The falafel is also great, and the veggies are very fresh. Loved the sauces and hummus as well! Hard to go wrong with Kebabalicious.

Regular size bowls were plenty of food, and it was all so good! Fantastic falafel, and the k-fries were amazing, although we hardly had room for them after the bowls. Parking around the area was a little tough, but it was worth the hassle.

The atmosphere is really nice outside. The menu offers variety and is well priced. Kebablicious is one of my favorite eateries! If you are looking for scrumptious sauces with flavorful meats then look no further.

We went there on a Friday around pm. We were able to grab a table right away without any wait. They are super dog friendly so if you have a pupper you will have no problems. We got a chicken bowl with red sauce and taziki sauce, beef lamb wrap, side order of French fries and baklava.

Everything was on point. We had a guest visiting us from out of town and they loved the food so mission was accomplished! They also sell decent selection of beers. We tried one of their hazy IPA from the menu which was delicious. Overall great place to grab bite. Kebabalicious is an Austin gem!

Postponement add a photo. Hamburger restaurant. This American restaurant has been around since , and specializes in burgers, fries, onion rings, and sliced fried pickles.

They're located on the campus of the University of Texas. First time I've ever been here. I didn't know there was so much history with this place. Food was very good. I think there should've been more tater tots but still good.

Strawberry lemonade could've been sweeter. No complaints at all. Oreo shake was delicious. Fried pickles and the chips and queso was awesome. Very good burger with a homemade quality. Great atmosphere with plenty of inside and outside seating and a nice looking bar.

Highly recommend it!!! Has been here forever and I very much enjoyed going back after a long spell. Stoped in to watch the Cowboys football game and had dinner. Got the chill burger with fries. Everything was super good. Waitress was checking in on us periodically and the environment was nice for a place like this.

I wanted a burger that was WORTH breaking my diet. I came here and I was not disappointed.!!!! They have small and large size so it's perfect! Taste home made.

We tried the Habanero burger and the DH Special with a side of pickles. Oh and they Have 4 Dollar MIMOSAS SUNDAYS!! Really lovely traditional burger! One of those places that has been around for decades and found the right recipe. The burger tastes fresh with that perfect amount of grill flavor.

The single was an appropriate size, but I may opt for a double next time. Fries were also fresh, hot and crispy. I need to try the tots and sweet potato options next time. Lots of outdoor seating 20 or so picnic tables under a large tent cover.

There's a dedicated parking lot free parking. Staff was really nice Ordered at the counter and they bring it out to your table. Went to Dirty Martins Place solely for their milkshakes based on recommendations and enticing photos.

The restaurant offers ample parking and spacious indoor and outdoor seating. The vanilla malt milkshake was absolutely amazing and perfectly crafted. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving a fantastic traditional milkshake in Austin.

Side Note: While my focus was on the milkshakes, Dirty Martins Place offers a full dining experience, so you might want to explore their menu beyond the milkshakes as well. The two pictures below.

But everything was amazing. I thought them very satisfying. This place found that balance. Not too Salty or Oily.

Perfection IMO. The burger and fries were both bland and weren't anything special. The queso tastes like Velveeta and Rotel, one of the worst I've had in Austin so far. The most disappointing part was the onion rings. I couldn't wait until I got home so I tore the bag open in my truck and grabbed an onion only to be severely underwhelmed by the complete lack of flavor.

The onions tasted like they were boiled instead of fried while still being greasy enough to leak through the paper bag. I stopped eating the food just so I could write this. Local since Went on a quiet Friday afternoon. Only a few people in restaurant.

If you want a old fashion hamburger to take you back in time, then this is the place to come. Ordered sweet potato fries and fried jalapeños too. Excellent food and excellent customer service.

Come check this place out. We visited the Dirty Martini's Place on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. There is also a large sitting area outside by the parking lot that looked very nice. We had the O. T Special, Habanero Burger and the Dirty's chicken sandwich with a side of the onion rings.

Everything was really tasty, we enjoyed the experience very much. The onion rings needed a bit more salt but there was salt shaker on the table.

There is a large selection of cocktails and some beer on tap, we had the Shiner Bock on tap that was very fresh and cold, also the Oreo Milkshake. Everybody was very friendly and the music selection playing was, for me, very nice. Had a small cheeseburger and it was so juicy and tender.

On side, we ordered fried jalapeños which were so good. I had one of the best old fashioned drinks I've ever had with an Angel Envy ice cube. Also tried the prickly pear mule and Mellow melon which I actually loved. Beware the watermelon soaked in vodka. The bartender and manager were very friendly.

It wasn't very busy on a Saturday night as the college kids have gone home for the summer. I finally got a chance to visit this restaurant and was very pleased I did.

That's a bargain in Austin. The sandwich and fries were very good. I loved the spicy sauce on the sandwich. This is such a nice old dive bar and I love that it is a piece of Austin history. The staff were very friendly. I need to visit again sometime and try one of the drinks.

All of the staff was friendly. I had the Wednesday Special which was the OT burger and a side of onion rings. Food was fresh, came out fast, and was delicious. The Lone Star beer was great in a chilled glass.

This spot is exactly what a ninety something year old burger place should be. So many places try to create the atmosphere that this place has earned. I hear that the railroad might be tearing it down to build tracks. This would be a great loss to Austin.

Too many American cities are having their landmarks destroyed to be replaced by cookie cutter buildings. Definitely try this place and skip the two fast food chain burgers that share then block.

Tex-Mex restaurant. Country food restaurant. Texas Chili Parlor is a Downtown staple for politicos of all stripes, with spicy Southern fare. It's also a favorite haunt for art lovers and those looking for a quick bite. After lunch, walk over to the Blanton Museum of Art or Driskill Hotel for a fun afternoon.

Great spot! Staff was super friendly. I got the three chili sampler with their standard chili, white chili was pork and gumbo.

The standard chili was my favorite as it had the most depth. In town for a conference and my husband mentioned wanting to try this for a long time so we walked over and had a great time!

We had chili tasters and nachos. The chili was amazing. The tasters are a great way to try a few different flavors. We were seated and waited on quickly. We went early…around pm and it was busy but no wait.

I highly recommend giving this place a visit. A Texas hidden gem next to the Capitol!! Nice heat and flavors!! Parking is limited in the immediate area but worth the walk.

Love this little place. Let's be clear, Guy Clark's song did not put this place on the map, their chili and Mad Dog Margaritas did.

Here since and hopefully they will be here another 45 years. The cheeseburger was just like any other cheeseburger. I loved the chili! The 3 chili sampler is a great deal and I found the serving size to be pretty good.

My boyfriend and I shared the sampler and were absolutely with it. The iconic restaurant featured in Quentin Tarantino's " Death Proof. The gumbo was full of flavor, and the chili was incredibly tasty, and did I mention HOT!? Well, it's HOT!! A must try if you're visiting the capitol building as it is only two blocks away.

The service was awesome and fun. I highly recommend this perfectly rustic spot I Austin. Last time I had this meal in a bowl and it was steaming hot. This time it was bland and tasted cold. Waiter could have at least let me know they ran out of bowls so I could order a hot meal on a plate.

Waste of money. Nonetheless it took an hour to get my food. Never coming back. Double X and White Chili are sooo good. We were drooling over other stuff coming out of the kitchen. Also great margaritas! Atmosphere is fantastic dive bar.

Staff is super friendly and service is great. Highly recommend!! We visited this place because it was in walking distance to the hotel.

It was a great choice! The service was great! And the variety of food was good, not just chili. The grilled chicken breast was huge, served with yellow rice and pinto beans seasoned with chili powder. We stopped here on our way to San Antonio, but wanted to visit the TX State House.

Food was great and the menu did offer many options for all pallets. My husband did a bowl of their 3XXX Chili and added in more jalapeños before tasting. At first he didn't feel the heat but about halfway in it finally started to hit him and he was using crackers to cool mouth down.

I had the frito pie with the level 1 chili. The chili was pretty mild but for those who don't like spice they would say it was too spicy. At first we both thought that the servings were small but they wound up being the perfect amount and the price works with the plate size.

This is a hole in the wall kind of place. Note that it is not ADA accessible for wheel chairs into the restrooms they are very tiny. Go in with an open mind for the staff and atmosphere.

Staff is very friendly and very helpful. Great little spot for a quick lunch with friends on a Thursday! The place is very low-key and chill, and their menu is giant not to mention cheap!

I got the chili enchiladas and they were very delicious and quite a big portion. My month old got the quesadilla which was also good. It was a loud environment but cozy and a good vibe.

Definitely worth the trip! So I got the sampler with the black bean, venison and pork chili and also got a chuck beef frito pie to try to sample everything. The black bean one was my favorite. All of them were unique. I didn't care for the chunky pulled pot roast style meat in the chucky beef one but the heat was very good.

The restaurant it self is more of a ran down dive vat style than a restaurant. I would definitely come back though! A diamond in the heart of Austin. Such an amazing spot for chili. Came here after visiting some museums. Located in the centre of downtown. Tried the xxx chili and it did not disappoint.

Burrito was amazing too. The atmosphere gives of dark yet relaxing vibe. Slide 1 of 2. Asian restaurant. Takeout Restaurant. Koriente is a pan-Asian restaurant with a patio in the Red River District that specialize in vegan and gluten-free options.

The staff is knowledgeable about gluten-free dishes and can recommend items if you are questioning what to order. Hot dog, that was good. But to be clear: there are no hot dogs here. Fast, friendly service. Limited outside seating on the patio, but I didn't wait long at noon on a Tuesday.

Dumplings and japchae. Both excellent quality. A local friend sent me to Koriente, an Asian-inspired, no-frills shop on the edge of downtown. I went for lunch on a Monday afternoon and walked right in.

I ordered the milk tea boba and a rice bowl with egg and shrimp. It came with each component and sauce on it's own and I mixed it together. It was so flavorful!

It also came with miso soup. There are a few tables inside, but the back patio is where it's at. It's quintessential Austin with lights strung up and art on the walls.

Fresh, fast, healthy! Very nice spot for a quick lunch take out or delivery. It came in quite quick! It is a very balanced and healthy Asian food option. Only thing is that the meat and vegetables side was a little saltier to my taste. I felt that the dishes were worth the piece and they were a great mix of being unique and great tasting.

I wish I could sit inside but I understand that every restaurant has its way of doing things. The parking is an issue and you want to keep your car in vision in the area.

Overall, it is a good place to pick up a quick lunch if you are in downtown! Definitely should be top rated. Healthy options and gits a vegan, vegetarian and meat eater too.

Lovely spin on Asian cuisine. Reasonable price. The price was more than reasonable, the food was delicious and plenty, the outdoor seating area was shaded, and best of all: they had boba. I got the mango boba with almond milk and the tofu mushroom dish.

American restaurant. Located in the heart of Austin, The Omelettry is a local diner that serves up classic American breakfast items such as omelets and pancakes. It is a popular spot for students and families, and offers affordable and quality food with wide appeal. The Omelettry in Austin is a charming breakfast and brunch spot with eclectic decor and a surprisingly short wait, even on busy weekends.

I recently visited with my husband while we were visiting from Dallas and we were both impressed with the food and service. Once we placed our order, we only waited about 15 minutes before our food was brought out.

I started with a full stack of gluten-free blueberry pancakes and sausage. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and the blueberries were fresh and tart. The sausage was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I loved that I could enjoy a hearty breakfast without having to worry about gluten.

My husband ordered one of the cheese omelets that came with a short stack of pancakes and bacon. He said that the omelet was good, but he wished he had added some meat. He also commented that the portion size was a bit small and the cheese tasted like melted processed cheese.

Overall, we had a positive experience at The Omelettry. The food was good, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was eclectic and fun. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable breakfast or brunch.

Would I return? Hopefully we will be back in town soon! Pretty good food. The omelets are great with very fresh ingredients, got the ham and cheese. The cheese was very good cheddar and I added the Louisiana hot sauce to the omelet.

That was freaking awesome!! Its good without bit brought to another level. Thanks for the recommendation. The pancakes were good but the pancake dough is a little to sweet for me, but not bad. The service was very friendly and helpful. There was a long wait before being seated.

A homelike atmosphere with good service. The food was a little above average in taste, but the portion sizes are worth the money. However, you might think different. Give them a try. Came here for the first time and it was amazing!! Hands down the food was awesome and the customer service was amazing.

Kristy helped us out and she immediately knew it was our first time here. She gave an excellent recommendation and it was amazing. Thank you Kristy for your amazing Service.

When we are in town again, we will visit. We came here during a weekend breakfast. The wait time was short. The decor was unique-Dr Seuss themed wall, Aprons hanging by the windows As for the food: I had the eggs Benedict with black beans.

I loved It. Their pancakes were great! Everyone else's food was great too. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed their coffee. I was most impressed with my visit to The Omelettry.

This was my very first visit to the restaurant DURING my very first visit to the city of Austin. This was a great way to kickoff my visit to Austin. Food was delicious, staff was friendly. I was especially impressed with my pancakes.

Everything IS bigger in Texas Staff kept my bottomless coffee full, kept my water full. I will most definitely visit this restaurant again!

thank you so very much to The Omelettry, I'm now a fan for life! This place is so amazing! From the aesthetic, to the food, cleanliness, and the hospitality. I came here with my family to try something new from the moment we walked in I knew we would enjoy the experience.

We sat down and looked over the menu and the hostess was even kind enough to let me sample the Horchata which was amazing by the way perfectly balanced looked over the menu and ordered.

Food came out in a timely manner and the presentation was visually pleasing. While the home fries were a bit big the food was flavorful, and fresh. The service was nice, fast and friendly.

Our server was even kind enough to help my indecisive grandmother pick a menu item that she ended up really enjoying. Even the bathrooms were freshly cleaned and smelled good. Overall I would give this place a 9. Fun place for breakfast, but the hot cakes were mixed too long no lumps in the batter make them flatter.

They were great tasting. Loved the huevos rancheros. Not homemade tortillas, as far as I could tell, but served soft and warm. Great black beans and the breakfast potatoes were nice and crispy. The green sauce was spicy, the red was chunky and flavorful. Brother loved his veggie omelet and nephews loved their chocolate chip pancakes.

Menu items were good value. The Omelettry is a pretty nice place to get the feel of a local diner. It's situated in a small shopping complex very close to I Food wise it was pretty okay, we started off with the a cup of homemade potato leek soup, it's very light on the palette.

The size of the cup is small so if you sharing order the bowl. For main course we got the Popeye omelette, which is pretty huge. It tasted fresh, the eggs themselves felt a little under seasoned though.

We also got the baked potatoes stuffed with mushroom and onions. It is basically a huge potato, baked and then filled with sauted veggies and some sauce on top. I did not become a fan of it and left most of it on the plate.

We finished off with a Gingerbread pancake which we really liked. The inside of this place is very cute. Feels very comfortable and family atmosphere. Their shirts are cute. Food looks delicious however Taste I was not a fan of I like a well marinated salsa.

The tomatoes on my omelette tasted canned. The food did do the job of filling myself up and husband. The food did come with 2 very well sized pancakes. We ate before we hit the water for a few hours. I recommend place and to go early because it did get packed when we left.

This is the place to go for great breakfast. It has been one of my favorite for many years and makes me happy every time I eat here. Omelettes and pancakes were delicious. Service was excellent and the place definitely has an Austin vibe. So far so good! Omelettes are a bit different here.

Instead of mixing eggs with ingredients, they stuff the egg. Almost like an egg taco. Still wasn't too bad, I enjoyed the House Special omelette. All omelettes come with a short stack pancake which was a nice indulgence! Expect a bit of a wait, this place seems to get pretty packed.

Earlier the better! Plenty of parking. Delightful place with lots of vegetarian options. It's packed with people as early as 8AM, and that tells you how famous and good this place really is.

The drip coffee is bottomless, and their fruit bowls are super fresh. They have ample seating adorned by all mannerism of paraphernalia. The place is cozy, the food is fantastic and the service is quick and courteous.

Mentioned on 4 lists. Ramen restaurant. To enjoy ramen at its finest, head to Ramen Tatsu-Ya. The shop's homemade pork bone broth is legendary, and can be had in various flavors with noodles, toppings, and side dishes.

From Austinites of all persuasions, this spot is a must-try. Great place, great food. One of the best ramen restaurants I've been to so far. The options are great the add-ons are delicious. The spicy noodles are to come back for. Service was quick and the server was very nice.

A great aura and great overall experience. Good place to go alone and eat or go with friends. The flavor and all else was perfect though amazing flavor. If you're looking for a place to eat, this is the place. Long wait! But it was worth it.

Ramen came out hot, fresh, and delicious. Mi-so hot was def spicy, but it was flavor packed. Worth the hype. Also ice cream cookies appear enticing. However, way too rich. I would avoid it. Always an amazing experience at Ramen Tatsuya.

I came in at around PM. It was very chill, the music was very good. I ordered them mi-so-hot, very delicious, the broth was thick, the Ramen was served hot. I enjoyed it very much. Only some cold weather could have made my experience better. This restaurant was suggested by a friend who lives in the Austin area.

I forgot to see if they required a reservation, which is HIGHLY recommended. From the moment I got there, to the moment I left, I was so pleased. The amazing hostess walked over and asked what name my reservation was under. I was on my phone looking for somewhere else to have dinner.

She walked back over and said someone was running late and she may be able to help me out. About 20 minutes later she sat me!!!

I wish I had gotten her name, but she totally went out of her way to help me. The food was AMAZING, atmosphere was a total vibe, and the staff was on point. Thank you for making my first trip to Austin incredible. I love that you put in your order at the front before being seated, it allowed me to have enough time to grab some water, my seat and have my appetizers put right in front of me.

We were lucky enough to be seated on a corner of the bar where we had a clear view into the kitchen. Chef was killing the game and over seeing all the orders to make sure every order came out perfect, meanwhile doing a little air drumming in between.

Rich and flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, great toppings. Ramen Restaurant featuring a unique dining experience with a simple, yet effective menu. Diners can choose their level of spicy by adding "spice bombs" to suit their fancy. The service is very quick and our ramen was at our table within about minutes of us sitting down.

The seating is somewhat of an "open floor plan" or you can sit in single seats at the cooks bar. Overall, the ramen was good, service was great, but there were flies and gnats that had made their way into the restaurant, which was slightly annoying.

The Tsukemen here was amazing!! I thought it was better than the Mi-So-Hot that I tried. The broth was super flavorful and stuck to the noodles well which made each bite super flavorful. Overall I don't think you could go wrong ordering anything on the menu but for me the dipping ramen was a standout.

The service was quick, you order at a counter when you walk in, then sit down and they deliver the order to you. Overall, I'd definitely return whenever I'm back in the area.

This place is famous for a reason! The vibes are immaculate and the food is delicious aswell as HUGE. I got the Mt. There was a bit too much so I wasn't able to finish it all, but they had to-go boxes next to a really cool looking water dispenser.

The drink selection is also great, if not a bit pricey. I would HIGHLY recommend this spot. Great environment with friendly and quick service. The broth was very flavorful and indulging. I would recommend the Spicy-Miso for any of those spicy foot lovers.

Great for a date night. fyi, they have bottled coke and apple soda for those Mexican soda fanatics! The food is amazing and the broth has so much flavor!

The atmosphere was very community oriented. All three are great! The hot is decently spicy. The atmosphere is so cool and they have a bar attached too with outdoor seating that you can order food at!

Super affordable for the massive amount of food you get! Highly recommend. I know when my husband says, "This is so good," over 10 times while we're eating that we found a great place to eat!

I am a sucker for unique places and foods, and this is one of the coolest restaurants I've been to. Waiting outside wasn't bad. They had mist going to keep the patio cool.

Right when you walk in, you order drinks and your food and get a number to put on your table. A server will bring out your food, and we were mostly left to ourselves after that. Price is good, food is amazing, atmosphere is neat highly recommend Ramen Tatsu-Ya!

This is a very good ramen restaurant!! My husband and I both enjoyed a lot. The soup was very tasty and creamy. You can taste that they put effort to cook the base.

The noodles is like the thin ramen but not too hard and not too soft. We highly recommend this restaurant!! Located in East Austin, Juan in a Million is known for its large and filling breakfast tacos.

With a casual setting and outdoor patio, Juan in a Million is the perfect place to start your day. A perfect spot for breakfast tacos in east Austin.

Nice outdoor patio and comfy indoors. Today was all about trying out the tacos…will be back for the other delicious entrees on the menu.
