I make tacos quite regularly. When I make tacos, I put cheese in the bottom of my taco shells when I heat them up. This makes it where they get warmed, and have a layer of melted cheese on the bottom.

This layer of melted cheese keeps the bottom of the taco shell from getting greasy and breaking apart. Over the years I have done many things to try to keep the taco shells upright while they heat up to avoid the melted cheese from moving to the side.

I did try the stand and stuff shells, but they are just too big. I like the normal taco shells. I had put foil on the bottom of cupcake baking pans, and put the shells between the cupcake portions. I can get shells this way without overlap.

I have also done other set ups to try to figure out a good way to heat taco shells upright with cheese in them, especially since now I am also cooking for my boyfriend and I need to be able to heat up 4 taco shells for a single meal.

These have worked out well. You can sit them to hold 4 tacos, or 3 tacos. I would use this to heat up my taco shells, and the cheese is perfectly in the middle. I have plastic taco holders to keep tacos upright before eating them, but they are plastic and would melt if I put them in the oven or grill.
